4 SHEEPMEAT COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA ANNUAL MUSTER 2013 Jeff Murray SCA Director WESTERN AUSTRALIA Ian McColl SCA President NEW SOUTH WALES IAN has a mixed farming operation in the Cowra District of central NSW, growing canola, wheat and triticale. He also produces prime lambs for the export market. Ian has been recognised for his long term commitment to conservation farming. He is a current member of NSW Farmers' Executive Council. He became a member of the Sheepmeat Council of Australia in November 2008 and was elected to his current position of President in November 2011. JEFF runs a successful Border Leicester Stud and has been selling rams to regular clients for over 30 years. With a keen interest in genetics he registered a SAMM stud in 2003 and has expanded quickly to meet market requirements using embryo transfer and artificial insemination programs. A strong advocate of the NLIS, his property is Flockcare accredited. Jeff was elected as SCA Vice President in August 2012. DAVID is a fifth generation mixed farmer and sheepmeat producer from York in Western Australia, located 100 kilometres east of Perth in the Avon Valley. David also runs a hay contracting business and exports hay to Japan. David has been a Director of the Council during the periods 1991 to 2004 and 2007 to present. He is a member and former chairperson of the PGA Livestock Committee.
