James Jackson SCA Director NEW SOUTH WALES Virginia Chilcott SCA Director TASMANIA Michael Craig SCA Director VICTORIA KATE owns and manages a specialist prime lamb enterprise located at Tyrendarra in South-West Victoria. Kate has been Chair of the Sheepmeat Committee within the Victorian Farmers Federation which led to her nomination in 2003 to SCA. Kate was President of SCA from 2008- 2011. Kate is also an independent Director on the Livestock Biosecurity Network Board and the Sheep Industry CRC Board and is Chair of the Sheep CRC Extension Bid Committee. ALEXANDER is a sheepmeat producer and Company Director for his family farming enterprises, incorporating a self replacing merino flock, prime lamb operation and a Poll Hereford herd across pastoral and high-rainfall properties in South Australia. Alexander has been a long-standing member of South Australian Farmers' Federation. He served on the Board since 2008, and has recently joined Livestock SA. Alexander is also currently PPSA representative on the South Australian Sheep Advisory Group. VIRGINIA and her husband run a diverse business in the northern midlands of Tasmania covering dairy, wool, sheepmeat, wheat, poppies and potatoes. She is currently developing a business around home delivered boxed lamb, now expanding into Hobart. She has been an active member of TFGA for about 8 years, especially with the livestock group. MICHAEL is a mixed broad acre farmer in the big red-gum country at Harrow, western Victoria. The property currently runs a 30% crop rotation, combined with a sheep, wool and lamb business alongside a cattle breeding enterprise. Michael places an emphasis on developing innovative farm focused outcomes, including trial work involving alternatives to mulesing and being the host site for a sire evaluation program. JAMES is a grazier from Guyra, NSW and runs a self replacing 16 micron dual purpose Merino flock. James has an honours degree in Veterinary Science and has a particular interest in ovine reproduction. He has been actively involved with NSW Farmers' and currently represents New England on the Executive Council. James became a Director of the Council in July 2010. Kate Joseph SCA Director VICTORIA Alexander MacLachlan SCA Director SOUTH AUSTRALIA MARK and his family run two merino studs at Goondiwindi, QLD. Mark has extensive experience in the sheep industry as a producer, sheep classer and stud master. He is highly involved in sheep genetics, using ASBVs for both meat and wool. Mark is the Vice President of AgForce Sheep and Wool Committee and is currently a member of the Queensland 'Leading Sheep' Advisory Panel. Mark became a Director of the Council in 2010.
